Basically the title. I am being offered a course to study for and then do the compTIA security + at my highschool before I graduate. Ive always wanted to study cibersecurity seriously and solve vulnerabilities, but I don’t know if it is a good idea to request a student loan.
Context: I am 18 years old, interested in cibersecurity and software in general. Right now I am finishing my highschool level technician in Software Development (finish date: Somewhere around august). I dont have enough money to pay for it but its almost certain (95% I would say) that Im gonna practice* and then work as soon as I graduate.
*Highschool has some relations with companies(Akamai, 3M,…) to which we go and practice (to get use to the “real world”) and then the companies decide if they want to keep us or not. If they do, we start working there right away or get offered to work in another place if we know more than they thought. (Explanation because idk if its normal globally :p)
Said course will finish before we graduate and I thought it would be a great way to make me stand out among other applicants. Therefore, if I stand out and get a job, I can start working faster and pay the loan (loan is also given by my highschool so no worries about malicious intentions from banks or something).
However, I wanted to know from experienced people in the matter, would you do it? Is experience vital or is it possible for me to get hired fresh out of highschool? Any advice would be welcomed and would really appreciate any kind of help.
Btw, english is my second language; sorry for grammatical mistakes ;
