My company is working on building strategies for recruiting people without IT backgrounds into our CyberSecurity program to increase our diversity and grant some better opportunities for growth. We were considering trying to find interested individuals in our guard program and reimbursing them should they pass basic certifications like Sec+ then moving them into SOC1.
Would this be beneficial in your opinion? Is it worth pursuing?
If so, what skills should encourage along the way for interested candidates? Most all currently work with a monitoring system for physical security purposes.
