Hey guys, it’s me again, author of [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/cybersecurity/comments/mpsutk/nightmarish_first_job_what_do_i_do/). After THREE MONTHS of interviewing with a company for a job (I was told I should expect good news this week) – they finally got back to me and said they loved me but didn’t need to hire anyone after all.
Needless to say, I’m heartbroken. I had it in the bag. I was the only candidate, and REALLY wanted the job. Everyone on the team loved talking to me and were really cheering me on.
After what happened with that first job, and then occurrences like this, I’m starting to contemplate leaving the IT industry as a whole. My experience has been really bad and I don’t think it should be – I’m a college graduate with certifications and experience running an entire SOC over the weekends, so I don’t know why I’m having such a hard time finding new work.
If anyone is looking for a remote, US based pentester/SOC analyst/etc then let me know. Also if you want to give me feedback on my resume it’s [here](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/420016757043101696/865245917463707678/Redacted_Resume.pdf). I really need help finding a role for me. I’m starting to lose my hope. Thanks!
