Avast is detecting a file that doesn’t exist.

But… This game isn’t in that steam library. I bought a thumb drive for this game, and it’s in my d drive. There is no folder called c:\batbrary. That my custom name that I only used in D:\

So I deleted and reinstalled the game, still the same issue.

I went to D:\BATBRARY\STEAMAPPS\COMMON\BATMAN THE ENEMY WITHIN – THE TELLTALE SERIES\BATMAN2.EXE and scanned it with avast and it didn’t find any issues. I scanned both steam libraries with avast and found no issues. I added exceptions to both steam libraries in avast and still no luck.

I can’t play this game at all because this software is freaking out about a file that isn’t actually on my drive.

Well I just uploaded the actual exe on D:\ t virustotal and found two threats. But… Why did reinstalling not get rid of it?

I can format the drive and reinstall again, but it’s very time consuming. I don’t want to if it doesn’t work.

And what’s going to keep it from happening again? Avast didn’t protect me the first time, so it’s not working.
