Many cyber jobs are asking for x years of incident response experience.
Does help desk experience (ITIL) qualifiy to meet this incident response experience requirement if the help desk experience included working with PII, encryption, authentication for business apps and network incidents on large enterprise networks?

A few of the people on the team didn’t have a degree, but worked help desk at that company and landed the job because of it since they knew how the ticketing system worked, and just trained on how to conduct security investigations.
