Hey I am studying my final year B.E ( Comp Sci ) . I am not good at coding . I have the problem of forgetting things ( may be disease) . Can I get into cyber security career without any industry recognized certs ?

    It is possible of course. I did so. But I did hold a master’s in infosec at the time. I also had some general IT experience. Also it sounds like you have some medical issues as well, that might affect your work. As much as I would wish for things like that to be out of the equation, it’s most definately in.

    In industry Certificates are the validating paper that prove you have a skill, which is not always the case.
    The guys who hack dont have a blackhat certificate

    Short answer is yes.

    It’s not easy, and it doesn’t happen often but it is possible. This is what happened to me.

    My advice, work hard in school, keep your grades up. Work on cybersecurity skills outside of school (THM). Most importantly, make connections and build some sort of professional online presence. You don’t need to be a cybersecurity you tuber with 100k followers but atleast try to be active on linkedin and share your learning progress.
