Clicked on a suspicious file (Email Attachment) what actions should I take?

I recently was able to gain access to an old email (Comcast.net) I was checking through old emails and saw an email about “We have suspended your account” it was for Amazon and it had a “View” and “Download” attachment.

I thought that this looked incredibly suspicious so I didn’t click the download link but I wanted to ensure this wasn’t legitimate so I viewed the PDF file within the browser (Xfinity just opened up the pdf in their own viewer within the email) It was a phishy email asking for the user to click on a button to fix account credentials, I exited the email but now I’m a bit worried.

I’ve heard that malware can be embedded within PDF’s and I’m worried that something may have downloaded in the background.

My browser is Chrome, the email was within Xfinity, I ran Malware Bytes (Free) a couple times to which it found nothing (both scans were only 2 minutes though?)

Any actions I should take besides what I did above?

Thanks
