College course that assist in passing Security + ?

What Classes would provide most help to pass a Security+ exam?

ITE 115 Intro to Comp Concepts
ITE 180 Help desk support skills
ITE 182 User support/HelpDesk Principals
ITN Intro to Network Concepts

If you had to choose which two or if you have other class recommendations

None of them.

Having a basic understanding of networking and how computers work is beneficial, but there’s is so much more to security.

Check out professor messer on google. He has like a free course for a few different certain. Sec+ is one of them and I’ve seen a lot of people recommend his material

Self study using resources available online. Also the GCGa book for security + is great.
Jason dion on his site has a pretty good course too

The networks class might help you a bit, but that’s it. I took the 501 version of the exam, and the only college course I took that helped me was an advanced networks and security course that focused heavily on vulnerabilities and cryptography concepts.

You’re going to want to get ahold of separate study materials specific to the version of the exam you’re going to take.

None of those seem to focused on security, my community college has a specific security+ class

I wonder if passing is still on a curve
