Compromised home network and company PC

Hello All

I have a question that i hope you can help with relation to working from home. If my home network were ever to become compromised could that pose a risk to the network of the company where i work?

I have a company PC and we connect to the company network via a vpn client on that pc, but is that a secure setup? Say my home network is compromised in some way, could that impact the company pc and then the company network? I use wifi to login on to my home network and before establishing the vpn connection, the company pc would be exposed to my home network. Is there an actual risk for this scenario?
