Credit card info stolen using only IOS via home WiFi

Hi all,
I have Xfinity WiFi and I only use Apple’s IOS, either my iPhone XR or iPad at home. I noticed unauthorized Uber charges to my citi card yesterday and reported and requested a new one. I signed into my citi account to get the new card number in order to make a purchase. I used my new card once in my ebay app and did not store it in the wallet last night.

This prompted me to setup alerts on all my cards. This morning I get an email alert of another Uber charge using my new citi credit card! This would only be possible if they hacked my citi login or somehow spy on my internet activity via spyware. Then I get another alert for a Netflix charge, but it is coming from a different credit card in my Chase account.

I have only downloaded two new apps 2 weeks ago in App Store: screen mirror and fire stick tv cast. I have deleted them. I may have visited some questionable websites to stream a basketball game or two recently. I have a personal modem and ac1900 setup and no internet security or firewall setup that ai know of since I only use iOS.

1. Can my internet activity be monitored by a hacker?
2. I have read it is very difficult to get spyware on iOS do I need additional internet security?
3. I don’t fall for phishing so it is likely spyware. I only use my citi card at Costco.
