Cyber Security Architects – help me get through interview

Hi guys, short introduction: I worked my whole life in IT. 16plus years of experience, from Unix admin to CIO/CTO in smaller or mid-sized companies. Bunch of certificates (Solaris, RHCSA, Oracle 11g OCP, AWS Architect associate; CompTia Security+, CISSP exam next week, …

Currently, I work as s Cyber Security consultant for a big4 company and I really don’t like the job. We do ISO27k evaluations, SIEM recommendations, SOC maturity models and all stuff that’s too theoretical for me. I work with Word and Powerpoint 90% of time. And me being technical guy, I decided to change my career towards cybsec architecture and I have job interview next week. The thing is; I don’t really know what’s the hot stuff – currently used technologies in various cybersecurity domains. Could you help me out to familiarise myself with technologies that are used nowadays? NextGen firewalls (Fortiner, PaloAlto, Cisco?), Endpoint security, network security, software defined infrastructure, datacenter security, etc. Just please tell me what to look for. Thanks a lot!
