I am a computer science undergrad. I have always believed that cybersecurity makes more than software engineering but that seems to be a myth because from what i am seeing, it’s the opposite although the difference is slight. Maybe i might be making incorrect comparison in terms of the job role.

Can fellow redditors currently working in cyber industry give some insights into this?

for example, Salaries of:

**Software engineer** VS **Security engineer**

**ML engineer (NLP, Computer vision, etc)** VS **Cybersecurity ML engineer**

**DevOps** vs **DevSecOps**

What about **CISOs** VS **all other top earners of IT**?
