Feeling Useless

I graduated college with my bos IT degree and cybersecurity focus in the fall of 2020 during Covid, my online graduation and everything felt unauthentic. I’ve been in a great fellowship that ends this December but after that I have no idea on how to enter the cybersecurity field. I feel like every other candidate is miles above me. The situation in my head feels hopeless and I don’t feel qualified to apply to any jobs in this field yet.

Any professionals have any opinions or steps they would take in my position? I just have that bachelors degree, and now I’m stuck wondering why I got it in the first place :/.

Thanks for any advice or help.

So first off, not a professional, just another lowly squib trying to break into the IT field but I’m not going the Degree route so my first question is do you hold any certificates gained through your degree program? A+, Network+, Security+, CEH? Anything at all that can make you stick out outside of having a four year degree? How are your soft skills, communication, leadership and teamwork? What is your previous job experience even if it is not related to IT, customer service experience can be useful as it can show you have relative soft skills to be used in an environment. Kinda give me your resume. I’m breaking in right now at an entry level IT service technician based off personalized cover letters for each place I apply for and using my relative experience even if it’s not in IT to show I am what they want. I’ve noticed it’s a lot of confidence. DM me if you’d like, I’d be looking to compare the certificate route compared to the college route.
