A couple of years ago I watched a fantastic talk on YouTube by a funny older man, who talked about early cyber security in the pre-internet era. When he was a systems administrator.
I think he actually was a math major, and not CS.
He used slides on a overhead projector.
Talked about early -ARPA?- and how he let the suspect search the entire network to find out what they wanted etc.
I can’t find the video, it was not defcon but some other convention.
If anyone know this guys name or can find the talk it would be most appreciated!
Edit: an angel ascended down and told me his name is Cliff Stoll. Link provided if anyone is curious!
