How can I connect an iPod touch to a computer without a wifi access point ?

Use my iPod touch 3G for email. The computer network where I work has no wifi service. Is there a way to connect using the USB cable?Another idea – saw a USB wifi adapter, similar to the little dongle for a wireless mouse. Seems like this might work, but probably would need s/w other than the driver.Ideas ? Suggestions ?

some computers are capable of giving off their own wifi signals. I have use my MacBook Pro to give my iPod Touch a signal. The USB wifi thing could work if it is actually design to put off a signal rather than pick up one. I’m not too familiar with them though. Look for a Wireless Router. It would do the trick for you. Good Luck
