I’m interested in scam-baiting tech support scammers and was wondering how I could safely do this. Scam-baiting tech support requires the scammer to connect to my virtual machine through applications like TeamViewer.
During this time they are connected, they can possibly download malware onto the VirtualMachine. This itself isn’t a problem for me unless it is a worm, as it is connected to my home network and could infect other machines on the network.
I was curious how I could protect my network in a way that the Virtual Machine could be used in a somewhat reckless manner, while keeping any real machines in the network safe.
Edit: I’m using Oracle VirtualBox as my Hypervisor
