I am a complete noob to cyber security. Should i get certificates like CCNA and Network+ or my associates sacrificing two years. I don’t want to waste time on an associates if jobs do not even care for it. Also is ComptiaTech worth it? here’s a link [https://www.comptiatech.org/](https://www.comptiatech.org/)

If you doing have a bachelor’s degree, then go for certs. Associates degree won’t really matter since its not a 4 year degree. That is what I have seen.

If you are in the U.S, I would say to get your A+ cert and then apply to Western Governors University. The school is regionally accredited and offers a good cyber security program with multiple certifications included in the cost of the tuition. The kicker, the pace that you study and pass the classes determines when you graduate, not some arbitrary timeframe.

Education isn’t a sacrifice. It’s the most reliable path to a stable career with regular opportunities for advancement.

You need a Bachelors. Certificates without experience or a degree won’t open many doors.
