I clicked on a Facebook ad that led me to a ransomware website. Is my PC vulnerable?

I was watching a video on Facebook where an advertisement about Mario Kart 8 Deluxe popped up during the video, and I was confused as to why it said “download now!” and I thought it might be the mobile version of the game. It looked convincing enough and I unfortunately clicked the hyperlink that was on the ad. The website had the same interface as the official Nintendo website, so I didn’t pay attention to the URL which was obviously fake. It said that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was free for a limited time, and I rushed to see the eshop and realized it’s a fake website.
Out of stupid curiosity, I clicked on the download button but quickly cancelled the download which was a zip file. Is my PC in danger? What can I do to stay safe?
