I clicked on a scam link like an idiot and I’m scared I’ll have to reset my pc

The email I got sent was claiming to be Apple saying my account was locked due to strange activity and it had a .dot document. I didn’t download it but I clicked preview for the document and it told me to go to a link to unlock my account. I’m stupid and I didn’t notice any weird details until I saw the url at the top was not an official apple url, it also had a section to enter my Apple ID so I clicked off. My friend tells me I probably have malware and I’ll have to reset my pc and I’m scared. I’m running a virus scan atm. I hope it was just a way of trying to trick me into giving my info but I’m scared I fucked up really bad.
I have a setting on chrome that makes it so that whenever something is downloaded I have to manually confirm download location. It didn’t pop up, but I’m still really worried and I don’t want to have to reset my pc. Any advice?
