Hello :)

Im not sure if this question belongs this subreddit.
I have to write a dossier about the Internet Backbone. I have the structure of the Backbone but the next question is, how secure is the Internet Backbone (ISP’s, Seacables, DE-CIX, DNS-ROOT SRV and small Houses like the TAT14-House in Blaabjerg (DK).

Maybe it is a dumb question but i dont really find much information on the web about Software, and physical Protection. Are they using normal enterprise-clustered Firewalls etc. or special devices?
