Accidentally downloaded “Great Discover” and ByteFence yesterday and tbh the removal was fairly simple.

Booted into safe mode and used control panel to uninstall both Great Discover (captcha worked somehow) and ByteFence. Then headed over to clean registry and deleted all the files i could find related to them using Finder Tool. Followed a vid by Mango School on yt and checked registry locations where the viruses could reside but found nothing. Checked my hosts file to find any suspicious IPs but got nothing, checked Program Files and others to find anything remotely related to the 2. Again, got nothing. Finally, i cleared my browser history and reset chrome. (0 sus extensions btw)

Finished everything up with a Deep Scan using AVG free ver. and apparently it’s good to go but i can’t help feeling skeptical that everything’s gone.

Anything else i could try that could potentially reveal any leftover files?
