Is ConfigureDefender worth it if Windows Defender can be easily disabled by malicious software?

Is it worth it to use ConfigureDefender if it seems like Windows Defender can be disabled fairly easily by malicious software, even with tamper protection enabled? I’m also concerned about whether or not ConfigureDefender is finicky if you have another anti-malware tool running (I have Malwarebytes pro and have set up exclusions to allow it to run real-time alongside Windows Defender). Is it more of a set-it-and-forget it type thing, or do you have to be careful to manage any potential conflicts?
