I’ve recently found out about RAT (remote-access-trojans) and I’ve been paranoid as fuck that I might have one of those on my phone or computer. So, how do you tell that you have one?
I’ve scanned my phone with Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, Avast, ESET and Sophos, so I think I’m clean on there.
The only scanners/AVs I’ve used on my PC is Kaspersky, Malwarebytes Normal Scan (custom scan uses 100% of my CPU so I never did one) and Defender Quick-Scan (full-scan uses 100% of the cpu).
I’ve been thinking of getting a second-opinion scanner on my PC and I’m currently looking towards Malwarebytes and the ESET Online Scanner, but I’m not sure if either is compatible with Kaspersky. So, are they?
EDIT 1: Found out that only the ‘custom scan’ uses 100% of my CPU on MalwareBytes. Is there any way to limit CPU usage?
