I have a desktop computer that runs windows.
Right now it’s powered off, but still plugged in.
It’s not hibernating or sleeping, it’s off.
There is (steady)green and (blinking)yellow light by the Ethernet port. The machine is connected to router through this port.
Question: is my machine is off, why are these lights even illuminated? Are they powered by battery?
Also, weird that the port concerned with the internet would not seem fully off when the machines is shut down.
Should I be concerned?
I’ve had the machine for a while, but only recently hardwired it to network, which is why I’m just noticing now.
Thoughts?
Thank you!
Ethernet ports normally light up. All it says is your computer is hard wired into a LAN. Unless someone who knows more than I do says something then I wouldn’t worry.
Is wake-on-lan enabled?
