I am currently working overseas doing IT Support for the DoD. I am finishing up my Masters in Cybersecurity and have CASP, CCNA, CEH and Sec+ certifications…along with some others. I really would like to transition into Cyber overseas but it’s been difficult. Seems like the people just don’t move from those positions or the recruiters for overseas always want to just put me in support. I have had some recruiters reach out about Cyber positions but they are back in the states, so I know I’m on the right path. I am just looking for some advice on what I could do to gain some experience. Should I just head back to the states or is there something I can do from out here? There doesn’t seem to be a lot of remote internships or part-time jobs.

I’m just tired of doing support and ready to do something else.
