I’m a University of Phoenix Junior majoring in Information Technology and I’m getting multiple certificates in Cyber Security as my ‘minor’.
I’m learning plenty, but I’m wondering what should I have memorized? Obviously it’s good to know everything but I’m getting nervous thinking about future interviews and such. Will they show you what they expect you to do? Do they just say “We need X, X and X.” and expect you to just know? Should i take side courses that are more direct than just a BS in IT and some CS Certs?
Hopefully my anxiety and confusion is understood and you all get what i’m trying to ask. I’m just nervous I’m not learning anything that’s really helpful and don’t want to be left with a ‘useless’ degree because i don’t have any specific knowledge to back it, if that makes any sense?
To my knowledge the University of Phoenix is accredited which means my degree holds some weight. I’m hoping that’s true as I’m obviously way too far in to back out, lol.
Thanks in advance! Any questions let me know and I’ll be happy to answer.
Hoping for $60k ish starting salary once i graduate. Then moving up to my masters eventually and earning more. I live in the Cincinnati, OH area. Thanks again!
