So not sure if this is a stupid question, but before I do something I shouldn’t, I figure lemme ask here: So I graduate from college in mid-May, but it’s virtual anyway and my classes are over the first week of May. I have a full-time offer for another company ready, but I’m currently interning at a different company right now and the contract with this company ends mid-May. After my classes end in the first week of May, I only have like 5 business days left in the contract with my internship company. I was thinking of taking a trip to my hometown to see my extended family before my work with the new company starts in the first week of June. I was thinking of telling my current internship company that I will be leaving a week before the contract ends, but I don’t know how unprofessional this is, and if it’s a bad idea, then I’d rather just wait a week before leaving to my hometown. What do you guys think? Wanted to hear some honest thoughts/opinions on here first before I did anything.
