Video helps detail, and bring people up to speed as to why the University of Minnesota is (still) banned from kernel development.

In my own words, the core issue *was an open source supply side cyberattack committed unethically under the pretext of academic research*. Who besides the graduate student in question is to be held accountable, and what the appropriate response will be based on that remains unanswered despite apologies in open letters being expressed.

Interesting to note, which was also pointed out in the video, is that the research was funded by the National Science Foundation. So, the open source community should expect a response from them as well.
