Hi. I’ve been using email web-interface all my life. Now i want to move some secure mail provider. But obviously i can’t just ditch my gmail account i’ve been using as main for the previous like 15 years.
Risks i’m planning to mitigate are mostly related to situations in which my hardware is being posessed by malicious third party. So i don’t want to keep my google account logged in 24/7 in my browser. But i still want online notifications on emails.
So my thoughs went to setting up an email-client which i’d log in manually on system startup. But for security reasons i’d like the client to store all the data encrypted on disk. Suddenly i’ve come to realization that most popular email clients do not offer such functionality. Am i missing something or is it not a conventional way of storing communication data?
