Moving a POS from PSTN to Ethernet based

One of my client has a POS machine ( ingenico card machine) using which they charge their customers for card payments. They are moving from PSTN to Ethernet (internet based) on this card reader. They use a network firewall and this POS machine is going to be placed in their LAN. Is there any recommendation that should be done to secure this POS. This is quite new to me and hence looking forward to your thoughts.

I manage a bunch of the same brand… not much you can do but poke a whole in the firewall to let egress traffic out. Make a new vlan and segregate the traffic for sure.
