OpenDNS’ certificates for major websites

Not sure if this topic goes here. Today I tried to open some websites (gmail , askubuntu, reddit) and I got a SSL certificate error. Apparently **OpenDNS was replacing these websites’ certificates with some of their own**. I’m not an expert, I posted screenshots on twitter: [https://twitter.com/atti84it/status/1401228468797444097](https://twitter.com/atti84it/status/1401228468797444097)

The problem was solved after going back to my ISP’s dns via DHCP. What is happening? Misconfigurations or malicious attack?
