Hi, I’m currently studying for the security+ exam and decided to take a school course, but I’m not sure which one would be more beneficial to me. The 2 options are Programming and Network. My first instinct would be Network since cyber-security works a lot around that, but I saw the study plan of that course and a half of the stuff that they teach is about operating systems. The course is named Network and operating system so it makes sense but is it worth going to a course that splits both topics? I have a certificate in IT systems management and programming technician (which I like and was very good. Even had some invites from companies but end up not working due to the Covid timings) but it’s probably a waste of time going to a more advanced programming course again if it won’t help in cyber-security as much as Network. So I’m kinda split in a half since one won’t help me much with cyber-security (Programming) and the other one will probably help me with cyber-security in general, but half of what is learned is about other topic than Network. Also when I took my first course I learned a little about networks and didn’t find very interesting at the time but when I do pentesting on hack the box and stuff I kinda like it.
