Looking for some recommendations on what my next steps should be, obviously a matter of opinion.

Little background, I started doing some generic IT work, then got a new job and did networking, full Cisco environment, and now I am a cybersecurity admin. I have a masters in cybersecurity, but no certifications, and not really any programming experience.

At one point, I wanted to get my sec+ cert, but given what I have been doing I don’t think its going to help me much. I was thinking I should maybe look at getting CISSP. I did the ‘automate the boring stuff with python course’ on udemy, but after doing it I didn’t know what specifically to do with it, so I pretty much lost all of it.

I don’t need anything for my current job, but I would like to be able to demand a higher level job when the time comes. I think my resume shows some good experience, but not much else. Feel free to ask anything additional, or PM.

Also, this is an alt account that I figured I would try to make more ‘security’ focused.
