relatively new to cybersecurity, any advice?

relatively new to cybersecurity, any good websites to learn? or any advice/anything i should know?

i’m not new to coding and i’ve had a little bit of experience with kali linux, but other than that i’m completely new to cybersecurity. i’m planning on going to college within the next year or two, and i’m planning on getting my bachelor’s. until then i’d like to get as comfortable as possible and learn as much as i can on my own. the less expensive the better, and free is the most appealing, but i’m not opposed to paying for anything as long as it isn’t $300 out the ass. videos/websites/etc., any help is greatly appreciated!

edit: i’m also a hands on learner, so anything that dives me into physically doing some work is the best for me, but anything works.

TryHackMe is a great resource. A lot of good content and they provide the lab environment. It’s like $7-9 a month. Well worth it. Even as someone who has been in the field for some time now, I use it.

They also do a great job of explaining the reasoning behind what you’re learning as opposed to just teaching you how to use a tool.
