Howdy y’all. I make ~88k a year. I’m in a soc responsible for incident response when it comes up.
Recently we’ve been instructed to work weekends and extended hours without any additional pay. I read flsa guidelines and I think cyber security functions end up being a non-exempt profession.
Have y’all been compensated for weekend pay or fought for it?
I wouldn’t mind weekends if I was paid significantly more, but I’m pissed they gave me a 2% raise in my second year and want more money. It doesn’t seem fair that they raise low and expect weekend work without compensation.
