First of all, thanks for choosing to try to help. I installed a cheat mode thing for among us because I wanted to troll my friends and I actually scanned the file using GlassWire (which is a network protection tool but it has a virus scan button to scan specific files. I think it uses the Windows Defender scan) But the scan said there were no threats and it was safe. So, I ran the cheat giving it **administrator privileges** like an idiot. They said administrator privileges were essential for the programme to inject itself into the game.
But, after around 3 days later I ran a virus scan and it detected these malware.
• HackTool: Win32/GameHack!MSR
• VirTool: MSIL/CryptInject
• Trojan: Win32/Ymacco.AA85
I removed the files through Windows Defender and deleted the directory where the files were found. Another think I think might be important is I turn off Real Time Protection from time to time because it just slows down the computer down to not being able to move the cursor sometimes.
My question is, is it too late because I ran the file already. I ran a Windows Defender Offline scan and it didn’t show any report or log, which according to some forums mean that I don’t have any threats.
