I received a strange email earlier today informing me that a third party had used my email to see if I had an account set up for the Moe’s Southwest Rewards program. Normally, I would think nothing of this. However, I also received an email yesterday, thanking me for setting up an account with Fite TV. I promptly had the Fite TV account deactivated, and Moe’s informed me in the email I received that they deleted my account. I’m fairly certain that nobody has hacked my email account since I changed the password yesterday. Has something like this happened for anybody with these companies? What else could I do to safeguard myself? Should I be concerned?
