Tips for a new Security Analyst position

Looking for books, blogs, etc. In order to prep for a new position I am starting.

I have install the community version of the SIEM I’ll be working on and am in the process of connecting it to my homelab servers.

Are there any good books out there to help me get into the mindset and culture of a security analyst? Would love a book I can read on the couch at night. Lots of security books but would like to here some recommendations.

If this is the wrong sub for this, let me know and I will move it elsewhere. Thanks!

I am an analyst too, and the CySA+ cert and book by Mike Chapple has been great. It does a good job talking about what we face in this position.

Also congrats on the position!
