Hi, I am a software engineer with over an year of experience. I am planning a switch into security blue team roles such as SOC/Security Analyst. I have been going through various posts, job postings, certifications, courses, learning resources. There is a lot to learn….about networking, CCNA, Sec+, CySA+, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, monitoring, logs, SIEM tools, MITRE etc., and all this info is quite overwhelming to me. I am not able to decide what to learn and in any specific order so that i would help me in covering the info required to break into these roles i have mentioned above.

And since i have only an experience of an year and a half now, the job postings in job portals are having at least 2-4 years of experience requirements even for entry level. Due to this i am not sure whether my experience will be helpful in any way or not.

Any advice from you all about breaking into the industry would be a great help to me. Any good learning resources, courses, useful certs etc., and YOUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCES would help me make a plan and follow accordingly. Please Advice. Thanks.
