Ok so this happend to my mother’s new pc. I installed Kaspersky on it and today it found and deleted a trojan. To be more precise it was PDF.Baduz.b. As you can guess it got to her machine by pdf. I have 2 questions tho:
1 She opened the PDF online using chrome (she didn’t downlad it) so the file that kaspersky deleted was actually in the cache. It’s possible to get infected by this file if you view it online without av or it gests only to the chrome cache ?
2 This pdf was actually on a known and established source, an institutional one in fact so i’m thinking it could be a false positive. If it isn’t how did it get to the site if the rest i perfectly safe ?

Edit: I’ve deleted the page from search history but before doing it i opened the pdf once more and it detected it again so it is not a one time thing. Also what does this trojan do?
