Unquoted Service Path vulnerability

From what I can tell, this vulnerability may exist in some Windows systems that run services that contain spaces in the path to where the executable for said services live (if said file paths are not enclosed in quotes). These systems may then be vulnerable to privilege escalation attacks if a knowledgeable attacker can exploit this vulnerability.

Question: ***Are Linux or macOS machines potentially vulnerable in this way, or, is this a “Windows only” vulnerability***?
