UPDATE: I have an interview with my dream company and I’m freaking out!

I wanted to thank all of you for the advice and good luck you gave me. When I created the post, I was so nervous that I was freaking out, but you all helped me calm down and remembered to breathe.

I had passed my technical interview, and was invited to complete a practical assessment; I completed that and ended up waiting a little over a week for a response after I had submitted my assessment. The director called me and stated they went with someone else for the position that was further in the hiring process than I was.

So, unfortunately, I did not get to the last interview and did not get to an offer with this company, but they want to keep me on a list for when a position opens. I really love this company, and everything that they do, and I put in a lot of effort and hard work + long hours to get this far – it would seem for nothing if I just walk away. My current position allows me to spend some time on professional development, and I’m in no rush to leave. I still have some development to do and I think its a really great learning experience for me.

Sorry for the sad news, but I’m hopeful for my future.

Cheers!

Not the outcome you wanted but did you ask for feedback on anything? That then gives you something to work on.
At least you now know you can do it! Best of luck for the future though
