What are factors in which a person has Certs, degree and just everything on a job description but still can’t find work in cybersecurity?
Personality does not mesh well with others.
They could put off a vibe that is not healthy for a workplace.
They over hyped their resume and fail to seem like they understand what they wrote down (because they took the accomplishments of the teams they worked with in the past and did not actually contribute).
Or they could just be applying to the wrong jobs/ not adjusting their resume to the job they are looking at.
If you’re struggling to get interviews, it may be your resume. Most HR recruiters use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). The format of your resume and language that you’re using can actually work against you. If you make it past the ATS, if your resume is “bulky” or not easily to read, most recruiters will toss it. I believe the average amount of time a recruiter looks at a resume is 7 seconds. It may be worth taking a look at that?
Also, recruiters are very active on LinkedIn. You can add keywords to your profile with your qualifications/certs to have recruiters reach out to you when they have an opening.
You may have already done all of this, but figured I would put it out there in case you haven’t or maybe it will be a benefit to someone else reading the thread.
