I’m more-so asking out of curiousity. As far as I know, the most one can do is swipe your IP. Drive-by downloads, I don’t think, could happen, as you need to choose where/how to save the file that’s downloaded. Furthermore, you need to open it for it to cause any harm. So, can a malicious website only swipe your IP?

    Aslong as you use an adblocker and enable Ask where to save before downloading you will be fine.

    Also, your IP address isnt anything special, it cant be used for anything, and if your router is less than 8 years old then it will have DoS protection.
