What Certification to tackle next after Security+?

Good Morning!

I’m sure this question is equivalent to beating a dead horse… but I’m looking for guidance.

I have zero “work experience” when it comes to IT. I passed my SY0-601 Sec+ last week. I am currently studying for my B.S. in Cybersecurity and Data Analytics. I have a military background and still possess a security clearance. I’m also located in the North East.

I purchased study material for the CySA+ but I am unsure if that would be a good route to go or if I should go toward the CEH or PenTest+ or maybe something else like Network+ to build a solid knowledgeable foundation around Networks.

Ya’lls input will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Humm, CEH is worthless unless your meeting some DoD requirement, Pentest+ is a alright test, dated thou. Network+ is good if you don’t know networking but also can be rough cause a lot it is really basic stuff.

Personally I’d go for AWS CCP and AWS certified solution architect associate.

But from there, really depends on what job you want, if you want to blue team, Id start learning industry tools, if you want to red team go for OSCP
