I am 23 years old. I recently graduate with a [BS.BA](https://bs.ba/) in CIS with a focus in cybersecurity. I graduated in August 2020 in the middle of the pandemic in a not very tech centric area. I was not able to find a job as my help desk internship ended when I graduated and I needed money. Needless to say I ended up in September 2020 working at Walmart for $10 an hour with a BS degree. I kept applying and less than a month later got a job where my dad worked as an IT Tech for 35k salary with no 401k and 2 weeks vacation doing basically everything as a one man IT department. Around 4 months into that job I received a text from a friend about how the only major company around was hiring for a cybersecurity position but it was related more to PLC and process PC security rather than IT security. I said why not and I applied for it. I ended up getting the position and I like it a lot. I am basically working with the team in headquarters and as the dev team makes new products I deploy them to the plant floor. I also monitor the entire plant for cyber risks and do a little training presentation for the new hires regarding our cyber policy. Unlike some people, I actually find I enjoy the presentations and the social aspect of IT. I do presentations for our control engineers and the plant upper management. The salary is pretty good for my age of 23 being 80k plus 10% bonus and I can get overtime with restrictions but it is mainly comp time. 4+4% matching 401k and good insurance and 15-days vacation with it going up on a schedule.
My question is what should I do at this point? I have no certs, should I get them. The company does have tuition reimbursement so maybe I should get my MBA. Really just looking to get people’s thoughts. Thanks
