I have read that virtually **everything** is susceptible to Ransomware including cloud storage and on-site backup drives. The reasons being (Respectively) is the Ransomware can be sent to the cloud storage server to inflict the same damage, and the malware will lay dormant for a limited time so it can spread to any back-up drives connected to inflict maximum damage.

I have heard of a tactic of using two backup drives, one long term and one short term.

What would be a good tactic to minimise damage?
