I know this is a commonly asked question but the field is too wide that I can’t really understand which answer would suit me. I don’t really understand where to start to learn about information security. I am a sophomore CS student, I have OOP, java c++ etc. but nothing about cyber security. I have an internship in august in a cyber security firm (idk what will be my job) and I always wanted to learn about penetration testing, cyber attacks etc. but I don’t know where to start. Can you guys recommend me a way to start? From courses like Udemy, Coursera etc.
Some resources I know are
– Udemy Ethical Hacking course by Heath Adams
– Tons of courses in Linkedin by Malcolm Shore
– CompTIA+ Security courses by Mike Chapple (idk what CompTIA is)
Can you tell me what would be the best way to start? I want to see if cyber security works for me, try to learn it while in college to decide my career. I am not sure if this is even the right subreddit to ask this, if not I am sorry.
