Hello all, I know you have heard this question a bunch and I know you are probably tired of replying to it but I require assistance in picking my degree path. I am sort of late to the game as I will be starting college at 20. Currently my plan is to earn a minor in CS and a bachelors of Cybersecurity at DePaul. I know some frown upon bachelors degrees in “cyber” anything. But if anyone would be willing to look at this specific curriculum and advise if it would be worth it I’d greatly appreciate it. DePauls cybersecurity program seems to have a lot of CS and Cybersecurity student cross over. I already work in the IT field and have been for a couple years so I believe the foundation is there. if I decided to take this path of a minor in CS with a BS in cybersecurity, while also taking as many programming classes I can, could that be a viable option for entering this field? Or should I just get a CS degree like a lot of others. https://www.cdm.depaul.edu/academics/Pages/current/Requirements-BS-in-Cybersecurity.aspx
Thank you for any advise and replies.
