If they aren’t hosting their own servers. Why not just firewalls built into exisiting equipment?
Firewall hardware is there to be absolutely no accidental open ports are pre configured.
I mean you want the front door open to all your customers, but do you want to leave a backdoor to the supply/stock room open for customers to have access to?
Same ideas apply to the smb network. Not everything is in the cloud. You need to be able to fully control and protect everything behind the isp modem.
I would also not trust an ISP to have he best interest for the smb. They do not care if you are protected. They are there to make sure you can access the internet.
